Computer Suite

We have a fully equipped Computer Suite with broadband internet access, which is open for all members of the community to use at just £1 per hour or apply for membership for just £20 per year and enjoy unlimited use of the computer suite, Monday - Friday 9:30am - 5pm (excluding Christmas and Bank Holidays), and if you run into any problems while surfing the net or typing a letter, we have an IT specialist on-hand to help you.

We also have a range of laptops, digital cameras and camcorders available for hire, and offer a range of services within the Computer Suite including: printing, photocopying, laminating etc.

Park Computers

The Park Centre has now launched a new social enterprise in the form of a computer charity shop based at: 65 High Street, Ryde.

This social enterprise business recycles old computers and computer peripherals by cannibalising, rebuilding and distributing computers.

Project Manager, Barry Kemp says “Many of our users were asking for advice on where they could purchase good quality, second hand computers at a reasonable price. We had already been receiving some donations of used computer parts from the community, and, realising that there was this need to be filled, Park Computers was created.”

Barry continues, “We looked into funding for a vehicle to help facilitate the new social enterprise, and were lucky to be awarded grant funding from Awards for All. After a call to Harwoods in Wootton, we now have a brand new van which has helped us get on the road to make Park Computers a great social enterprise.”
