The Park Community Centre is run by Registered Charity
Ryde East Community Association (RECA).

The centre is largely volunteer driven, providing services
and facilities to the local community.

The centre is based in what used to be St John's Church
hall. It is not a church project; RECA is non
denominational; however, we thank
St. John's for their kind genorosity for allowing us to use
their building.

RECA employ three members of staff who are based at the
Centre. Cora Wade; Community Development Manager,
Dan Burns; Outreach IT Technician and Marcelle Edwards;
Centre Assistant.

The centre's fabulous team of volunteers help the centre run smoothely.

Funds raised through Cora, Dan, Marcelle and the volunteers working on community projects, as well funds from hiring out rooms at the centre, allows RECA to continue to run the centre to the benefit of the local community.

Times are hard for everyone at the moment, and the centre is feeling the pinch more than ever. We receive no government funding at all - yet staff and volunteers are dedicated to keeping this vital hub of the community open "...by hook or by crook..."
